Systems using 03 cylinders or 06 cylinders mean that the number of cylinders used under one term of chairs which are tied together on the same steel frame, not applied with separated chairs of the different steel frame.

03 cylinders system:

In the early development of the simulating entertainment system, recreational models using 02 cylinders, 03 cylinders is widely used by the relatively simple control software, easy to deploy and apply widely, few number of cylinder, not large engine power, so the price is quite low.

However, the system has the following disadvantages:

- Usually applied few number of seats, usually 02 seats.
- Due to the use of compressed air, so this system is so weak. Slow movements usually do not simulate the motion making shock like falling off a abyss, colliding with the cliff, ... in the scenes in the movie.
- Due to few number of cylinders, this system can only move in 03 different directions, simulate inadequately the vibration, direction of motion as real scenes in movie.

- Due to few number of seats on one cylinder, this system could not make viewers feel like sitting on cars, high-speed boats, high-speed vehicle in the faster, stronger motion film.
So 03-cylinder system often used for home cinema rooms to save costs, or some limited space movie theater, can not place 06 cylinder systems. Most of the movie theaters today in Vietnam and around the world have switched to using 06-cylinder system.

06 cylinders system:

Along with the development of technology, the control of system using 06 cylinders is increasingly widespread. Moreover, the cost of producing large loading cylinder system, high-power engine system is less and less leading to the decrease of 06 cylinder system’s cost, which enables audience to have a high-quality reproductive system. 06-cylinder system completely overcomes the disadvantages of the above 03 cylinder system.

- Usually apply with a large number of seats, at least 04 chairs.

 - Due to the use of hydraulic oil so this system is very powerful, motion can be fast or slow flexibly. Moreover, this can reproduce the movement that makes shock such as falling off a cliff, colliding with cliffs,…  like the moving scene in the movie.

- Due to the use of multiple cylinders, this system can move in all directions as in real motion, full simulation of the vibration, the direction of motion as in the real scenes in movie.

-Due to the large number of seats on one cylinder system should make viewers feel like sitting on cars, high-speed boats, high-speed vehicle in the strong and faster film.

That is the reason why 06 cylinder system usually used for big and modern movie theaters. This system is high competitive in compared with old and obsolete ones. Almost movie theaters in Vietnam and all over the world have switched to use 06 cylinders system.
